Have you ever wanted to copy multiple layers from one canvas to another in Procreate? It’s completely possible with all the new Procreate 5 updates! All you have to do is follow this step by step process. Let’s get started! Do this process a couple times and you won’t forget it.
This is the new blank canvas you will eventually move all of your layers to. Take a moment to format the canvas to your design needs before copying the layers over.
This is the canvas with all of your layers and artwork you want to transfer.
If you are not familiar with how to select multiple layers I’ve got you covered with THIS tutorial. You can select as many layers as you want. There’s no limit here. It’s also important to note that these layers will be copied so you don’t have to worry about them disappearing from this original canvas.
Take your right pointer finger and simply press down on one of the selected layers and drag it onto your canvas.
While still holding down the layers with that right finger, put your apple pencil in your left hand and tap ‘gallery’ in the upper left corner with your left hand.
Don’t let them go. Keep holding down the layers until you complete the next step.
You should make sure to make a new blank canvas BEFORE you start step 2. If you skipped this step you have to go back to square one and start over.
You should see a loading screen that lets you know the layers are importing. Then you’re done!
