Ever wanted to learn how to merge layers in Procreate? It’s actually super simple. It comes in handy if you have a bunch of layers in your canvas and want to combine and organize them to save space.

1. Go to the Layers panel

This is the panel at the top right of the toolbar. It looks like two squares, one on top of the other. All of your layers for your project are housed here in this panel. Anytime you need to manipulate your layers this is where you do it.

2. Move both Layers beside each other

Check to make sure that both of the layers are beside each other in the Layers list. They should be one on top of the other for this process.

3. Select  one of the Layers

Take your apple pencil or your finger and tap on the first layer you want to merge. Double check and make sure you have tapped the correct layer. This is one of the layers that is going to combine with another.

4. Pinch the two to merge layers

Take your pointer finger and your thumb and pinch them together to merge the layers.

That’s it! You’re done!!
