There are a couple different ways to make a perfect circle in Procreate. Today I’m going to show you my two favorites. Making a perfect circle is so useful for illustration projects but can also be useful for lettering projects and I’ll show you why. Let’s get started.

OPTION 1: Using an Airbrush Pen

1. Go to Brush Library

In the top right of Procreate tap on the brush icon to access the Brush Library.

2. Tap on Airbrushing

This is going to pull up the Airbrush category in the Brush library.

3. Select ‘Hard Brush’

This is the largest airbrush in the library. If you want something smaller just lower the brush size in the next step.

4. Adjust Brush Size

Make sure to adjust the brush size to as large as possible. I like to keep mine between 90-100% for this process.

5. Tap once with Apple Pencil

This will create a perfect circle on your canvas.

OPTION 2: Using the Quick Shape Tool

1.  Go to Brush Library

In the top right of Procreate tap on the brush icon to access the Brush Library.

2. Select any Monoline brush in your library

It has to be a brush with no variation in weight for this to work properly.

3. Draw a Circle

It doesn’t have to be exact at all. Just draw your best imperfect circle. Keep holding down pencil once done drawing. DO NOT PICK IT UP.

4. Take your opposite pointer finger and tap once

This activates Quick Shape for you. Once you see the shape snap you can let go.

5. Tap ‘Edit Shape’ in the top of the toolbar

6. Tap ‘Circle’ in the top of the toolbar

This will transform your object into a perfect circle.
